The event is jointly organized by Department of Botany, Raigaj University, Raiganj, WB and Indian Phytopathological Society, New Delhi; and is aimed at bringing together researchers, practitioners, students, farmers, NGOs, and agriculturists from across the country to discuss the current advancements, challenges, and opportunities in Plant Pathology. As organizing team, we believe that your expertise and experience in the field of Plant Pathology will be valuable contributions to the conference. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Global food security has remained a global research agenda in the back drop of land degradation, climate  change, biodiversity loss  in recent times where plant health care is the most pivotal factor. Plant diseases as well as other biotic and abiotic factors need a thorough revisits for holistic management strategies under the umbrella of one health framework. Scientists across the globe have been working on various aspects to achieve the goals of production sustainability where in women pathologists and women agricultural scientists under different disciplines have been greatly contributing. The conference , an initiative by Indian Phytopathological Society aims at bringing women pathologist and other scientists to give a  platform to show case their works, exchange new ideas and also to encourage young  researchers.

Raiganj University, Raiganj, West Bengal 

Raiganj University, located in Raiganj, West Bengal, India, is a significant center for higher education in the region. Established in 2015, it evolved from Raiganj College (University College), which had a long history dating back to 1948. This transition marked a substantial enhancement in its academic and infrastructural capabilities.  The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including arts, science, commerce, and management. Abstracts will be printed only after receiving the registration fee. Please underline the name of the presenter and mention the email ID of the presenting author

HOW TO REACH RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY

To reach Raiganj University in Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal, India, there are several travel options depending on your starting point.

By Air: The nearest airport to Raiganj is Bagdogra Airport (IXB), which is about 150 kilometers away. You can hire a taxi or rent a car from the airport to Raiganj. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours.

By Bus: There are bus services from Siliguri (near Bagdogra) to Raiganj. You would need to take a taxi or local transport from the airport to the Siliguri bus stand and then catch a bus to Raiganj.

By Train: Alternatively, you can take a train from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station, which is close to Bagdogra and siliguri. Raiganj has its own railway station, Raiganj Railway Station (RGJ), which is well connected to major cities. There are direct trains from Kolkata to Raiganj. You can board a train from Howrah or Kolkata station. You can take a train to Katihar Junction and then a connecting train or bus to Raiganj.
