Abstract Details

Submission of abstract for oral/poster presentation

There will be scientific sessions on various topics identified for the conference in the form of invited lectures and poster presentations. Abstract (250 words excluding, title, name and affiliation) for the conference should be submitted through online mode only (https://conference.ipsdis.org). Please contact the Conference Secretariat (ipswomenconf@gmail.com) if you don't receive confirmation about the receipt of your abstract within 10 days. Abstracts will be printed only after receiving the registration fee.  Please underline the name of the presenter and mention the email ID of the presenting authorThe Scientific Secretariat reserves the right to edit abstracts if inquired.


Guidelines for poster presenters

  •  Size: Use standard 30″ x 40″ (76 cm x 102 cm) poster board, with the 30″ (76 cm) edge along the top and bottom.
  • Text lettering: Posters must be legible from a distance of at least 2 metres. Heading and subtitles should have the smallest letters in 80-point font (lowercase 12 mm, capitals 17 mm). In the text the smaller letters should be 36-point font (lowercase 7 mm, capitals 9 mm) with a line thickness of 1 mm.
  •  Text: Give a brief (50 words) introduction stating very clearly the purpose of the study followed by material & methods and results. Minimize words while maximizing visuals. End with a brief (50 words) conclusions clearly highlighting the major findings, its significance and implications.
  •  Illustrations: Each poster should have a single, easy to follow message, be readable in a few minutes, eye-catching, have logical layout, and include a photograph of the presenting authors for identification, along with authors’ names and addresses. Use colour pictures, graphs and diagrams in preference to tables. Captions and labels on diagrams and graphs should be readable from 2 meters distance and not be cluttered with unnecessary details. Diagrams and graphs should have no more than two lines in contrasting colours. Use of only one vertical scale per graph is preferable to tables.
  •  Organization: The design should be sequentially from one part to the next. Number or arrows may be used to help the eye move from item to item in the correct order: left to right, top to bottom. Do not clutter with either text or artwork.

  •  A maximum of one abstract as first author will be accepted. Presenting author’s full address, including phone and fax numbers, and the indication of topic area must be sent along with the abstract. Please underline the name of the presenter and mention their email ID.

Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established on 1 April 1969 in Jorhat in the state of Assam, India and is the premier agril. Research and education in NE India. The jurisdiction of the university extends to the entire State of Assam with regard to teaching, research and extension education in the field of agriculture and allied sciences. The university’s Plant Pathology Department has state of art laboratory facility and is known for its quality research, teaching and biopesticide works.  and is the only educational centre in the world to offer a Husbandry and Technology, through a  comprehensive four-year degree programme in Tea.
